Paul Laberge was appointed CEO of BlockEnergy in July 2024. 

 

Since joining Emera in 2013, Paul has held a variety of senior roles including Executive Vice President, Legal, Regulatory and Public Affairs at Emera Energy and Vice President, Corporate Development at Emera Inc. Paul joined BlockEnergy as Chief Operating Officer in 2023.

 

Paul brings over 30 years of business development, legal and executive management experience gained in private legal practice, as well as from his time at Alliance Atlantis Communications, where he served in a variety of increasingly senior roles, culminating in Executive Vice President, Corporate Development & General Counsel for the motion picture distribution division. Paul also co-founded Magellan Fuel Solutions and co-developed it from concept to successful commercial product launch and sale.  

 

Paul is a graduate of the law school at Western University and earned his MBA in finance and a science degree from McMaster University. He is a member of the Law Society of Ontario and the Nova Scotia Barristers Society.
